A Stronger Team this Memorial Day
Senior Vice President, U.S. Public Sector
I have the privilege of leading Cisco’s U.S. Public Sector team, and I take this privilege seriously. It’s our responsibility to enable those who protect and serve our country, and on holidays such as Memorial Day, I am reminded why the U.S. Public Sector team is passionate about the work we do. In fact, as a team, we compiled a video to honor military men and women, their families, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Watch it here.
We’re fortunate to have many Veterans on our team. They make us better by sharing the values they gained through their experience in the military.
Here are just a few:
Driving toward a higher purpose
The military men and women on our team know that there is more behind every piece of technology we have. It’s a customer who has challenge to overcome. It’s finding ways to improve the way they are able to serve citizens. It’s the way in which we can help improve the safety of our military. They are inspired to achieve our mission – and it’s a contagious feeling.
Demonstrating unwavering commitment
The power of team is not lost on the Veterans on our team. They have won and lost with their fellow military men and women, but whatever the outcome, they do it together. They bring that spirit and commitment to team to work, and to our customers and partners – creating bonds similar to the ones they formed while serving.
Going the extra mile
Does a teammate need support to reach their goals? What more can we provide to our customer? Can we add more value when working with our partners? These questions go through their mind constantly – adding immense value to the team and the work we do.
In recognition of Memorial Day, and on behalf of the U.S. Public Sector team, thank you to all those who have served and who continue to serve, and especially to all those who died from protecting and serving this great country.
