For many decades, the manufacturing sector in the United States benefitted from a consistent labor pool from which to draw talent. However, the rising, younger generation of potential employees are no longer drawn to manufacturing jobs like their parents and grandparents. This presents a serious skills gap for manufacturers, faced with an aging workforce and fewer options to replace them when they retire.
